Beast of imagination

So imagine your lost. In a boat at sea. Out in the wilderness. Staring at a blank page,a piano, a canvas not able to conjure a thing from your imagination.

Whats needed? Only what will keep us alive. Water. Warmth. Nourishment. No need for beer or wine a hot bath or nice spices to go with our beautifully prepared and presented meal. Just the basics. Sustenance.

We spend so much time looking, hearing, and thinking about the stuff that surrounds our ideas that we miss the heart of the matter. Truth of the matter. The source of the matter.

Theres so much static in our lives. Media noise. Tricky relationships and work worries that tend to work out without us anyway. Performance anxiety about some little thing that didn’t even effect the over all impression. No wonder we often feel scattered and thin on significance.

It’s time we focus on what we really feel and think without fear, beliefs or egos getting in the way. Allow the essence and source of our creative pursuits to prevail. Invite something great or beautiful to happen.

When we feel lost in our own sea of life, the basics are all we really need to truly feed that hungry and curious wild beast of imagination. Everything else is ornamental.
